Managing emotions During Uncertainty

Talking Ape
“When we experience the world as too complex, we are not just experiencing the complexity of the world. We are experiencing a mismatch between the world’s complexity and our own at this moment. When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.”

– Robert Kegan

One of the key skills required in the emerging business world is the ability to be comfortable and confident in times of change and uncertainty.

Let’s be honest, for many people, dealing with change makes us uncomfortable – but there are mindsets, tools and techniques you can use (and have been used for centuries) to manage your emotions and become more confident when dealing with uncertain times. This programme looks at what we mean by ambiguity, why the ambiguous world is here to stay, how to manage change, what the Lumina psychometric can tell us about an individual’s ability to deal with change, how to develop strategies for managing emotions and focusing on what you can control. Finally, we offer a series of tools and techniques to deal with change. At the forefront of this programme is helping people see the opportunity that lies ahead if we are self-resourced.
