Talking Ape was asked by a multinational to design a two day Finance Conference with a difference. We designed a highly creative, energetic conference that really pushed the group beyond their comfort limits to inspire long-term change.

Day 1 Set up workshops inspired by Harrison Owen’s “Open Spaces” where there is no set formal agenda. The delegates are given an overarching theme and then devise and create the working agenda themselves. Individuals become “convener” of their breakout sessions, taking responsibility for naming the issue, advertising it, running the session and writing a summary. Delegates reported that “core issues” were finally addressed.

Day 2 Using our schools expertise we brought in two groups of teenage students. The delegates were then given one hour of preparation and had to learn and facilitate a game (devised by Talking Ape) that teaches students the rudiments of financial management!
